I’m Devon (“Dev-in”). I’m a fitness-loving, bright lipstick-wearing, travel daydreamer living in San Diego.
I believe in living an active, healthy lifestyle; the importance of balance (my biggest challenge), and that there’s nothing better than sharing a bottle of wine and cheese with good friends.
People sometimes ask how I got so interested in fitness and healthy living. I always loved running, but I thought I could never run a marathon and that “my body just wasn’t meant for it.” But one day, untrained and unprepared, I ran a scavenger hunt race that spanned 5 miles with my now husband, which lead me to running longer distances on my own, which lead to a friend asking me to do a half marathon with her in 2013, which lead to me being hooked. Now, I’ve run 5 half marathons and 2 full marathons, and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I love seeing what the body can do and achieve. Running is my “true love,” but I also like spin, barre and pilates, and my latest “thing” is HIIT (high intensity interval training).
Being anywhere outside
That refreshing, cleaned-out feeling after a hard workout
My large, silly, busy family
Living by a lake or body of water
The Pacific Northwest, San Diego, Nashville, and Madrid
Spending the day in cute workout clothes
Some day I dream of being a full-time blogger (and spin instructor, barre instructor, and professional traveler 😉 ). Right now, I do the 9-5 thing in digital marketing agency. But at one point I felt like my life was spinning so fast that I decided to start a blog to keep track of it all. Now it’s place to share all my experiences, ideas and information about the things I love: fitness, food, beauty and travel along with tidbits of my life in San Diego. It has become my most time consuming hobby! But it’s a labor of love that gets done during early mornings and weekends.
Devon Victoria is a place for the girl who values an active, healthy lifestyle, occasionally likes to play dress up, is trying to find balance in busy days, and could die happy in yoga pants with a glass of wine.
So, welcome! Let’s keep in touch.
All reviews are my own opinion. If a product/service was given to me for free, I will always make that clear in the post, but you can rest assured that I will not recommend a product I can’t stand behind. Also, I am far from trained in exercise science or nutrition, so take everything I say with a grain of salt, will ya?
